Hello and Welcome Back!
Hello everyone, welcome in to the new and improved edition of the Jupi-Journal! It’s been a very long time since I’ve written anything in the discord Jupi-Journal, and I ended up making the decision that this is probably the proper place for it anyway.
An Update on Life
Where I’ve been
For those who don’t keep up with the daily-life-of-Jupi, a little over a month ago I did a big move to a new location with less than stellar internet. Our upload speed enjoys hovering at a wonderful 0.6 Mbps, which forced me into an impromptu month long hiatus. After a month-long battle with the ISP and dealing with several different technicians basically telling us there was nothing that could be done and that we would have to just sit and wait patiently, we opted to obtain a second, much less speedy ISP that could hold itself together specifically for stream.
So What Is This
Being banned from my own stream, I decided to use the time to figure out new content ideas and ways to deliver it. I’ve been paying monthly for this site for a long time and hardly ever used it, so I spent part of my month-long internet prison sentence revamping the entire site so that we can get more out of it. This site will act as a general central Jupi-hub and a supplement to the discord, providing a place to archive past content for easy viewing and announce new content in a visually pleasing way.
What I’ve Been Working On
After a lot of brainstorming and being hit with a giant wave of motivation, I came up with some projects to work on to help fuel my content creation journey. We’ve been on countless adventures here in the den for around three years now, but growing through streaming alone is extremely difficult. I’ve been wanting to branch out to Youtube for what feels like 100 years, but have never had the energy to do so, let alone know what kinds of regular content to post on there. Some of these projects are still in the early phases and won’t be fully online for a while longer.
Upcoming Content
Book Club
I often scheme together with my fox-sister Yuki, and this time we decided it would be a very cute idea to put together a weekly manga book club. The basic idea is that we pick a series and then read through some of the books/chapters every week until completion, taking the time to come together for a discussion stream each weekend. Every Sunday I will post the reading assignment for that week so that the community can follow along with us on our adventure.
Youtube
I’m planning for the bulk of my Youtube content to be relaxing ASMR videos. I am currently waiting on a new 3D model to be finished and if all goes well, I would like to make animated videos of myself doing things like playing cute, comfy games such as Animal Crossing or an animated backdrop of myself napping on a beach with relaxing ocean sounds. Youtube will also be the hub to see past vods of book club. In theory, I would also like to post occasional silly shorts, but we’ll have to see how many things I can possibly work on simultaneously without exploding.
Kitsune Kuriosities
This is a project in its very early stages. Together with Yuki, I have been working to create a game development “company” called Kitsune Kuriosities; we will be focused on creating indie horror games. Once I have a decent working build for our first game, I plan to open a Twitch-subscriber only channel in the discord where the test-builds will be available for download. Progress on this will be slow as I am currently prioritizing other projects, but I am very excited for the future!
Thanks for Reading!
Thanks for making it this far and for joining me for the very first edition of the Jupi-Journal! Hopefully I can keep up with getting these out semi-regularly. Until next time, see you soon!
